Participation in Special Olympics training and competition is open to all people with intellectual disabilities who meet the age requirements, regardless of the level or degree of the disability and also whether or not that person has other mental or physical disabilities. All athletes must have a completed medical application on file with Lebanon County Special Olympics prior to participation. Medical forms may be downloaded below, filled out and returned to:

Lebanon County Special Olympics
P.O. Box 1018

There is no maximum age for participation but athletes may begin at age 8.  Medical applications must be updated every three years or participation will be suspended until a new form is received.

Volunteers

Special Olympics would not exist without volunteers. They are a crucial part of our movement and what keeps Lebanon County's program alive. We are 100% volunteer led. Every person from the manager to the fundraiser coordinator, from the coach to the scorekeepers are strictly volunteer. It takes much time, effort, and planning to coordinate our trainings and competitions. We are so thankful that we have great volunteers here in our community, but that said we can never have enough. Our program is thriving which means as we grow we need more volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities Are:
Fundraiser Coordinators, Coaches, Unified Partners, Event Coordinators, Spectators & Supporters

How to Get Involved?

If you are interested in lending your time and talent to our organization you will need to complete Special Olympics volunteer registration. Please follow the volunteer registration link to see the steps needed to complete your registration.

Unified Sports

Unified Sports is a unique opportunity for individuals without intellectual disabilities (called partners) to participate on sports teams with athletes with intellectual disabilities. It's a life experience for both partners and athletes. Unified Sports provide another challenge for athletes with higher abilities while promoting equality and inclusion.

We are looking for people who will make the commitment to train for at least eight weeks, then move on to competition, competing with their partner, on sectional and possible state levels. If you are interested in learning more about our unified sports program please contact us.
